Built around a high-performance processor and a new S35 3:2 CMOS image sensor, the MAVO mark2 6K S35 Digital Cinema Camera from Kinefinity is ready to work with the large variety of existing Super35-format lenses using a separately available KineMOUNT and lens adapter of your choice. With frame rates up to 6K 96 fps and 4K 112 fps, dual native 800/3200 ISOs, 14+ stops of dynamic range, and cleaner imaging, the MAVO mark2 S35 offers enhanced video capture in both standard and low-light settings.

MAVO mark2 adopts the MAVO Edge high-performance computing platform, integrates industry-standard ports like independent dual SDI outputs with meta data, and encodes stunning images as Apple ProRes4444/XQ footage onto NVMe M.2 2280 SSD. Coming in the lightweight compact camera body with a streamlined workflow, the MAVO mark2 S35 and MAVO mark2 LF provide more cinematographers with a professional and efficient filmmaking experience at a more affordable price.

Back to the classic S35 image format, MAVO mark2 S35 is designed to cater to the use S35 glass, widely available, more styles even more affordable than full frame counterparts.

CMOS Image Sensor

A new 3:2 CMOS image sensor and advanced processing enable the MAVO mark2 S35 to better retain highlight details, enhancing your capture of nuanced lighting environments.

High frame rate options include up to 6K wide at 96 fps and 4K wide at 112 fps for creating beautiful slow-motion sequences.

Kine LOG3 gamma recording preserves the complete dynamic range captured by the sensor.

 

Comprehensive Lens Options 

  • The MAVO mark2 S35 offers the broadest range of lens compatibility, working with almost any lens.
  • Compatible with cine-style, EF-mount, and electronic Sony E-mount lenses and more using adapters.
  • The separately durable, separately available KineMOUNT can be quickly adapted for use with EF, PL, and LPL adapters.
  • Use the MAVO mark 2 S35 with the new active PL and Sony E-mounts to add electronic control when using compatible lenses.
  • The separately available active lens mounts support focus, iris, zoom, and image stabilization functions.
  • The active Sony-E mount supports lens metadata display and transfer as does the active PL mount (Cooke/i technology).

 

Advanced Processing 

  • High-performance computing provides advanced color processing and better highlight performance.
  • Greater storage bandwidth enables Apple ProRes 4444/XQ clips to be recorded to KineMAG Nano SSDs.

  • The MAVO mark2 S35 offers both 5.3K 4:3 and 4.9K 6:5 anamorphic modes, enabling you to choose S35 2x or 1.33x anamorphic lenses.
  • Images are de-squeezed in the camera for easier monitoring.

 

Flexible Recording Media 

  • Record using the proprietary 1TB or 2TB KineMAGs with read-only and RAID 5 safety features.
  • Use the KineMAG Nano Body to record to third-party NVMe M.2 2280 SSDs.
